I have a soft spot for management games! I'm proud to report I only got one of them dead (Cook who I designated as the party Cook ), but hey, made it to day 13 despite the hurdles. I love that base on the skill level of each member, the journey can take on a different trajectory for every replay and scenario! This is a very cool game! :D
This alpha version was really cool! Gotta say, I love the music at the title screen and the fuzzy effect, it makes for a super cool ambience! I noticed a few typos though with code, one being "[color=blue] Who do you send to help with the reading?" This game was fun, and it was cool trying to figure out who was good with what. I unfortunately lost Shackleton since, out of the 2 people chosen to help, I had no clue if they were good at strength. Blackjack was also on 1 hp due to snow blindness and he eventually died due to another issue. This game is tough, but fun, you did a good job with the mix! I replayed it couple times to see if I could get everyone there in one piece (finally got it on try 3!). I was surprised to see that the NPC's change! No clue if stats always change or not. Gotta say, the funniest thing was when I had 3 days in a row where someone started a fight over boots, the latter 2 which were started by the same person. A good game concept with some fun replay options! Excited to see where this goes. Hope you have a nice day!
Ah cool! Makes sense, half the fun is figuring out who's good at what so it's understandable that stats would be randomized each time to ensure a completely different experience.
I played the alpha! It was short but quite intense! Truth be told, I think I did quite well, since I only had one death on the last day! So, I really appreciated how the music and the background helped set the vibe, and I think it has a lot of potential! Of course, as a game with an actual storyline, but I think a sort of "infinite" mode including a random set of events might also be a fun play mode, to see how long players can survive with random distributions of stats amongst the party (which I think would be more difficult to do in a story mode if the characters all have set personalities?).
So yes, I've had a lot of fun with it, and I think trying to have everyone survive already feels quite stressful (in a good way), so I can't help but imagine how much more it would be in a fuller game, when it is ready someday!
Oohhh I'm happy it wasn't too hard! But I also think I can make it just a little harder π§ The endless mode is a genius idea !!!!
I was sad I wasn't able to include any of the actual plot (esp bc it was the thing I worked the hardest on this month aha π ) but it was in such a state that although I think it's got potential and I like where it's going, it still needs quite a lot of editing to make it public worthy.
The NPCs won't have much of a personality but there are two main party members that act as the narrative focus! (I wanted the 7 NPCs to be blank slates so players could rename them after their friends etc. π)
I'm so happy to hear it's excitingly stressful! Which is what I was hoping to achieve. Excited to keep working on it someday! π
A fun peek into what the gameplay is going to be like :D! Intrigued by the intensity of the story haha
I won both times, once with two deaths and once with one! Going to keep fiddling with it to see if I can get better at putting together the puzzle of what everyone on my team is good at \o/ some of them may die...but it's a sacrifice I am willing to make. :>

Yay! I'm so glad to hear that despite it's very rough state it was still fun to play!!
The boots thing made me audibly chuckle haha π
And yes! Every time you start a new game the names and stats are randomly generated!
Thank you so much for playing and I hope you have a nice day too! π
