Hug Embassy 1.1 RESOLUTION LET'S GOOOOO

Hi everyone!

I just uploaded Hug Embassy's 1.1 version. This new build helps smooth out some of the rough bits that I didn't have a chance to fix before the end of the jam. Here's a full list of all that's new:

1. Big update to how the UI canvas is scaled with different screen resolutions. I found a neat code that forces the window box to constantly be set at the 16:9 aspect ratio I had designed the game in.

The game at full-screen

The game in windowed mode

And you can even play it SUUUUPER tiny if you wanted to!

This game is really allowing me to get my hands on the unity UI issues I've been struggling with for a long time. I thought I was just really stupid but then I found this thread: https://forum.unity.com/threads/how-do-i-force-the-game-to-run-at-a-given-aspect...

So not only is this a known issue in the Unity engine... they've proudly deemed it a 'non-issue'. YIKES. (And another point toward switching to Godot.... possibly... *sigh*)

As is with the nature of this issue, please let me know if this new build has it's own weird appearances on your computer! I'm assuming most people will be playing the browser version, so the resizing of the window won't apply there, but the different UI bounding should still be applicable.

2. I added a quick Author's Note right before the first hugging mini-game to explain how to "hug" the characters. (You move your mouse back and forth to 'pat' them.)

3. Made a new sequencer code for the end of dialogue after the change of day transition. No more random floating textbox after changes of the day!

4. Made sure Charlotte is centered in the final dialogue.

5. Took out a lot of back end files that I didn't use in this game in the hopes of getting the file size down for easier browser play-ability. This was the first game I built out of my "VN framework" that I've built for myself in Unity, so thus I had a lot of files I didn't use in this particular title. If you've got a keen eye, you might have noticed that a few of the GUI elements were unchanged from Half Haunt Halloween. :) (This is bc I ran out of time for a full customization, haha. I had it sitting around and reused it! )

6. Fixed some typos.

7. Changed the positions and UI bounding of the buttons you push to move around. (Also changed the text because I broke TextMeshPro.... again. No I don't want to talk about it LOL)

And that's it! This year's nano feels so unusual compared to years past., (Is it just me???? Idk it feels weird!!!), but I really really appreciate everyone who's played the game so far and let me know! Sorry to people who ended up crying, I hope the game felt like a kind hug.

Be kind to yourself and I'll see you next time~!
