WANTED!
One unpaid intern to fetch me some coffee and find us some customers to hug. No previous hugging experience required!
THE BROWSER BUILD HAS KNOWN AESTHETIC ISSUES, PLEASE DOWNLOAD IF POSSIBLE~!
Issues include (but not limited to):
- The wrong girl might appear during the hugging minigame (Uh-oh!)
- The 'hands' to which to give hugs during the minigame might freeze (Doesnt prevent you from advancing)
- The font might appear blurry if you are playing on a 4K monitor (try playing in fullscreen mode to alleviate this!)
- Some lines are cut off (if you are not playing fullscreen and are on a 4K monitor), full screen mode also alleviates this!
- General lag. (*Shakes fist*)
How to Play:
- Mouse right click/Space to advance text
- Move your mouse back and forth to 'pat' the character during the hugging minigame
- Type in your response when prompted at the very very end of the game (makes sense when you get there) then hit the "continue" button.

Mentions of controlling abusive family systems, stalking, harassment, depression, gacha addictions, negative self talk, life kinda sucks post college feelings

Hello everyone! I made this game in a month (with the amazing help of Knickknack PJ!) and can't believe I've managed to finish on time! This year's nano game is a little different than what I tend to make (a modern game???? where are the knights?!) but it was a fun challenge!

- A New Don -> 24k mafia thriller with 2 routes/endings and one giant hog
- Kill the Prince?! -> A very short cute espionage game in which you infiltrate a royal wedding (secretly gay)
- A Heart of Butterblue -> 32k farming sim/VN with 3 routes/endings. This nano game took me a whole year to finish and features fully playable farming mechanics, time system and foraging!!! Yes Im very proud of what i was able to program in this one plz look at it.

I love this! Super freaking cute little game (and thank you for the time travel aha misclicking my enemy). I relate so hard to some of the girls' troubles and it's nice to see that represented in a game. And thank you for the free-entry at the end! I wasn't expecting it, but I was glad to write a little something haha <3
This game has really touched me. I don't like thinking in-depth about my emotions, so I don't like talking about things that bring those emotions out. I wish I could, because I would love to comment on all the things I liked about this game. But for now I will just say I liked it, that I related to the characters, and that I think it actually did help me a bit.
This game is so charming and thoughtful! I loved everything about the atmosphere - from the music choices and the vibrant colors to the humor that leavens the heavier moments \o/
I really got a kick out of the posters for Heiden's other games :D and the meta humor made me laugh IRL more than once - it was fun and wry. But the tone change into more serious topics was natural and sweet, with little hints at vulnerabilities and sore spots poking through with each new conversation.
I liked and related to all the characters to an extent, but Lily especially hit me where I live. <3
(spoilers for the themes and ending)
I loved the messages about just wanting to be heard and comforted sometimes. I cried a little bit typing out my own message about my own issues I'm dealing with. I also liked that there is no neat wrap-up for the character’s struggles, but that permanently solving their problems isn’t really the point rather than being kind and offering the comfort they needed.
I laughed, I cried, I smiled, I drank in some lovely art with really cute girls with relatable struggles I would like to give hugs to, 10/10
Let's Play Notes:
1. Not me trying to see what pics are in the background of the Embassy :d (I love callbacks). Song is soothing. Very aesthetic vibe~ Perfect for Hug Embassy.
2. I had a hug score of 2 because I panicked but I got the job lmao.

4. Ok I love Lily omg 'You can force the cats to hiss and swipe at each other now'-- Choice game lmao I'd get it.

General Review Time:
Okay so this game is super cute. It's been great to see this game through from learning of the idea to the execution. I think what I absolutely love most about this is how conceptually cohesive it is in like every way???
It's a pretty short game and I would really commend it. Especially if you're feelin' down and you just want to get your feelings out. And like all of Heiden's games, it leaves you with something to consider further if you want.
The only thing I'd have liked more is to have seen some chonky cats from Meow Meow Kitty Paradise :x
TAKE ALL MY HUGS HEIDEN!!! This is a really cute and heartfelt game. I loved the overall message of listening to others and being there for them, even if the outcome afterwards may not be the most desirable one. Thank you for making such an adorable game!

I loved it so much! I can sure identify with Lilly haha... Not into any game or addiction, but that makes it worse right? Just the same days, just college, just boredom.
Anyways, I LOVED the artstyle, the characters, the story of each of them is so real. Mannnn this sure needs more recognition.
How do I get the endings? I mean, I don't know what changes between them, or what I could have done differently. I was just nice, I guess.

I suppose I should reword that part of the description, the endings are seeing the backstory scenes of each of the three girls and then the final ending scene with Charlotte. If you got the final scene with Charlotte (asks the player what their troubles are) then that's the full game. Don't worry about doing things "differently" to get different endings, the stories of each of the girls doesn't change. Being kind and lending an ear is all that's required. 😊

Loved it, felt very identified with Lily and Isabelle (saying that says a lot about me I guess) and almost cried at the end.
I notice certain improvements from previous works, like the resolution, interface, colors and the harmony you achieved with knickknackpj's BG.

Where to start.
I love the art and background music, the characters all look unique and have relatable story lines.
There was a small bug, I'm not sure what caused it but the window that pops up when a character is telling their story didn't go away after beatris told their story and I muscle memoried my way to the next person but that was the only really 'big' bug.
I recorded my gameplay and am thinking of uploading it... I may have cried during so I'm unsure.
I really liked it and unexpectedly hit me pretty hard.
